Olympus LDH Reagent (Olympus Lactate Dehydogenase) Methodology The LD test is based on the method developed by Wacker et al. It involves the conversion of Olympus lactate to pyruvate catalyzed by LD, producing NADH as a byproduct. NADH absorbs light strongly at 340 nm, allowing for measurement of LD activity in the sample based on the rate of change in absorbance at this wavelength.
